Privacy statement

This website belongs to Reginald Somai, pianist and composer based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. This statement explains which personal data is processed when you visit the site or sign up for the newsletter, and what your rights are.

When you sign up for the newsletter, your email address is stored with Mailchimp (Intuit Inc.), the service used to send it. It is used only to send the newsletter: new music, concert dates and the story behind the pieces. Your address is never sold or shared with anyone else.

Signing up is based on your consent. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or by sending an email. Your address is then removed from the list.

Mailchimp is based in the United States. According to Mailchimp, data is transferred under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Mailchimp may measure whether emails are opened and which links are clicked.

Fonts

The fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. To deliver them, your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive your IP address. No cookies are set for this.

Links to other services

The site links to Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and the websites of media outlets. These are plain links: nothing from those services is loaded until you click one. After that, the privacy policy of that service applies.

Cookies and statistics

This website does not use cookies.

To understand how the site is used, visits are counted anonymously with Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service. Umami does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses and does not build profiles of individual visitors. It only collects general information such as the page visited, the referring website, the country, the type of device and which links are clicked (for example to Spotify). This data cannot be traced back to you and is not shared with anyone.

Email

If you send an email, it is only used to reply to you and to handle your request, such as a booking. It is not kept longer than needed for that.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:

see which data is stored about you;
have that data corrected or deleted;
withdraw your consent for the newsletter at any time;
file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
